5
Safety sites delivered

Brief

Kāpiti Coast District Council’s reprioritised 2023/24 Low-Cost Low-Risk programme, under the Road to Zero activity class, needed to take five detailed-designed safety sites through procurement and construction to completion — co-funded with Waka Kotahi.

What we did

TTAP project-managed the programme across five pedestrian and cyclist safety sites — raised zebra crossings, an intersection improvement and a pedestrian refuge across Raumati, Waikanae, Raumati South and Ōtaki. We prepared the Type B procurement plan (KCDC and Waka Kotahi compliant), ran tender preparation, evaluation and award, and provided MSQA support through construction, with monthly and financial reporting to the Council’s transport-safety team and comms liaison for publicity.

Outcome

A multi-site Road to Zero safety programme delivered through a single managed procurement and construction pathway — from approved designs to constructed crossings — on programme to the Council’s timeframe.
